On New Year's Eve I went to KLCC where I had dinner at Burger King since all the other restaurants had closed. After dinner, I went outside of KLCC where we joined a huge crowd to watch the fireworks. The fireworks were bright, colorful, loud and popping, and from where we were standing, we could see a lot! After 5 minutes, my family and I made our New Year's Resolutions!! Here are mine....
My New Year's Resolutions:
1. Not to complain/whine/sulk about my parent's choices
2. Be nice to my brother and sister
3. Try my best to have more optimism
I can only hope that I can keep all of my resolution's, I'm still struggling! Will you keep yours???
I have a dog, his name is Buddy, he is a golden retriever and is very happy, cute, furry, active and hyper. I love him so much!!! We have a special bond ever since my brother and sister saw him at the pet store. He is a very special dog who has always been a special part of our family of 6. If you have a pet you can easily understand how I feel about Buddy. He's always there when I'm down and we're inseparable, until now! It is very likely that we will move at the end of the school year and if we do it will be most likely to Washington DC. He was born in Thailand and we got him when he was 3 months old, he's now 2 years old, turning 3 years old in June!
Ever since the moment we got him it has been a challenge and great experience for us, from the chewed up Welcome mats, broken food bowls and pooped on carpets to the happy times like washing him, feeding him and spending quality time to just play with him! As we are probably moving there still remains the doubt that we will transport him to America, like we did from Thailand to Malaysia. Buddy is really special to me and I don't want to leave him, but for now I will just have to handle it and wait until that certain day comes when we have to decide if Buddy will or will not come with us to America.....
Over the winter break, I went to Sydney, Australia! We only had 4 days there and we had to make the most of it and enjoy the most important and fun places. It was really cold there, but now it's apparently really warm which I find very strange. It was very windy as well! While in Australia we visited Luna Park, the outside of the Sydney Opera House to take pictures, Featherdale Wildlife Park and a field for throwing boomerangs. We also visited the Blue Mountains, the Sydney Olympic Park, the Sydney Tower, and took a boat to Manly and stayed in Manly for dinner before returning to Sydney. Bondi Beach was nice but the water was absolutely freezing and we were called out of the water because a lifeguard had spotted a shark! We had a great time and especially loved Luna Park because of the exciting rides! Experiencing Sydney by boat, metro and bus was really interesting, although we didn't do all the things we wanted to do, I think it will be a trip and Christmas to remember.
After Australia we had a one day stop in Singapore where we went to a much warmer beach that was only 5 minutes walk from the hotel, we spent a lot of time at the beach and the swimming pool, because our hotel in Australia didn't have a swimming pool. After relaxing at the pool and beach we took a bus to a cinema area where we played two rounds of Desperados, a laser gun game where we shot at the villains on the projector screen, while on moving "horses". The reason we didn't do anything else was because there were very long lines to all of the more exciting rides, but it was OK. After a quick lunch at Subway's we went to the Tiger Sky Tower, where we went up in a revolving piece of the tower which circled the tower where we had a good view of a roller coaster which we regretfully thought that we should have gone on. It was a good day and we headed to the hotel where we took a taxi to Changi Airport, where we had a habit of
taking excessive amounts of candy from the free candy containers!
Before coming back to school, I was able to watch a movie at the cinemas. We went to KLCC in a rush and my mom told us it was a surprise. My brothers and I suspected a movie but my Dad and Mom brought us to a restaurant instead, we still doubted that it was our surprise but in the we succumbed and realized that the California Pizza Kitchen was our surprise. Or so we thought... After a heavy but good dinner, our Dad led us to the floor above us, where he asked if we wanted to eat more at Chili's but instead of bringing us inside, walked us right into the cinema! We watched Alvin and the Chipmunks 2 with a big bucket of popcorn and had a great time!
